Direct Partners have been delivering and providing training solutions for over 20 years. Incorporated since 2003 – we encourage employers to recruit for attitude and train in skill.
The Employability Fund brings together a number of national training programmes to provide a more flexible, outcome-focused provision for individuals which is responsive to the needs of employers and local labour markets.
Its focus is on increasing local ownership and responsibility whilst ensuring ‘real life’ work experience placements for young people, with funding based on key milestones and tangible, positive outcomes
An enthusiastic and trained workforce underpins Scotland’s ambition for economic success. Modern Apprenticeships support this goal by providing individuals with the opportunity to secure industry recognised qualifications while earning a wage
Sector Based Work Academy
Sector-based work academies are designed to help meet employers’ immediate and future recruitment needs as well as to recruit a workforce with the right skills to sustain and grow their business.
A sector-based work academy can last up to 6 weeks and has 3 main components:
- pre-employment training – relevant to the needs of the business and sector
- a work experience placement – of great benefit to both the individual and a business
- a guaranteed job interview
Sector-based work academies are available in Scotland funded through the Scottish government or other partner organisations.
We deliver SBWA to candidates who are on stage 4 of the strategic pipeline of the Employability programme.
