Technology skills for work includes accredited certificates, a guaranteed interview with progression opportunities to jobs, modern apprenticeships and other industry specific training. It’s a great opportunity for successful participants to discover their potential to enter the Tech industry.
The course includes:
2 weeks training
Delivered as a hybrid model of remote and face to face sessions at our premises
- Monday to Friday (group and 1 to 1 sessions)
- Introduction to the variety of jobs within the Tech industry and an introduction to programming and python
- Gain new tech skills and knowledge
Command line basics, data types in Python, conditionals, creating graphics, lists, dictionaries and loops in python, classes, functions and many more!
Accredited certificates and learning
Software Design and Development (SCQF5), Effective Communication Core Skill (SCQF5), Numeracy Core Skill (SCQF5), Problem Solving Core Skill (SCQF5), GDPR, Data Protection, Handling Information, introduction to python
Presentation of your own adventure game
Gain the skills to create a text-based adventure game and learn presentation skills to confidently present your game to peers!
Employability skills including CV reviewing and competency based interview practice to prepare candidates for their guaranteed interview.
